Hi, my sourdough french bread has good flavor but there are some brown "spots" in dough. Could it be that I did not stir starter adequately when feeding my starter it is flour lumps?
That sound a highly unlikely explanantion. However without more information on your recipe and method it is difficult to suggest anything more than possibly inadequate mixing and kneading of the dough itself.
