OK ... what on earth does one wear to a wedding being held on 'Sydney's Floating Glass Ballroom'???? (... and what do you buy the couple who can afford it?)

Swimmers? With killer heels?
I hope the bread is good.

Wowz! Nice setting.
Why don't you show us your shortlisted choices and we'll help you pick one? But, don't go upstaging the bride!
As for prezzies...we chinese don't have that headache. We give angpows (red money packets) as gifts.
When's the occasion? Remember to tell us about the bread.
Are angpows 'real' money?
Seems like such a civilised idea rather than spending money on things that people may not need or even like - especially when they've already been living together for a couple of years and seem to be pretty well set up!
I'm not at all sure that they will need all four toasters they will undoubtedly receive!
I think I should go in my swimming costume ... for a quick getaway ... but I don't know which ones ...
I quite like these because the purple really suits me ....

... but these could be good if a little breeze comes up ...

OK ... but I REALLY DO look like Megan Gale on the inside!!!
Carol.
Yes, angpows has real money in it.
And, baby, you're HOT! But, where and why are you thinking of getting away? 2nd honeymoon?
Hey, I like purple too...very deep purple, almost black which is what I'm wearing in my avatar.
ROFL!
I like your avatar very much, TP!
I only wish WE were getting away somewhere ... anywhere ... having grown up mostly in Sydney I find it a nice place to visit but I don't have to live there!
I'm seriously thinking of a nice non-stick baking rack for the happy couple as I know there is a bit of cooking goes on there!
As for being HOT ... I like Megan Gale ... she looks like she might actually eat the occasional hamburger or something.
OK TP, is the image printed in reverse or do you have a camera with a left hand shutter release.
I like the purple git too! Thought I would put in my two cents worth!
What is ROLF, need a de-coder TP!
Carol a good cookery book is alway's something of value, cooking objects ok, but it has to be special, you would be surprised how things get tossed at least here in the states!
Nice Avatar TP, were riding a crest, maybe I will change mine seasonally!

LOL, Bill! Meet the woman in the mirror.
Jeremy, you may like purple but blue's your color and welcome to the language that is going to take over the world.
What is your color you look black and white!
So arty!
Jeremy
Hey TP,
there's another way for rolling and laughing on floor

Aah...but we don't have those fellows here.
ROFL + + etc etc...!! Where did you get that critter, Carol?? That you? I'm guessing she's licking something so sweet and yummy that it just can't stop.
Isn't it cute, TP?!
I think she (and it is definitely SHE) is tasting all the goodies posted in 'Recipes - other'!
Carol.

"This video requires Flash 8 or newer" and I am on country phoneline-dial-up! No chance really to see that - sorry!
I buy Konini wheat and thow it into my flour mill.
Must translate the recipe for you and pull the pictures over. So you can see why bianchifan just had to get some of that red wheat. Although he seems not to like the taste much. Maybe the stuff he bought is another seed-strain to mine?
Have translated my sourdough Durum buns already, but no comments so far. maybe because there is "yeast" in them??
Carla,
I knew you were a hick country chick! Well you can ask the others of my famous ride to work video, you should see the part when I flip over!
As for the red wheat that is a new one, and yes I think it is the yeast, were all pretentious sourdough purists me thinks? It all right, I use it on occasion, but find it hinders when using a fine strain like Bill's "bad ass Gorokan"
he swears by it as I do!
There that was a good long post and the road and my nose didn't get in the way!
Jeremy
Hey carla, what are you telling?
I said, it tastes very wholemealy, very very wholemealy, cause nele doesn't like wholemeal and mehdi..very very wholemeal..I'm not sure if it's her first choice.
I've had two problems, first the sourdough was foolish and asleep, second, the Koninis wanted some more water as I wanted to spend
The resulting crumb was not s fine as I expected, that's all
Have to work on it, you know,I have no tins, not even one!
I'm a 100% free climber
Hey Jeremy, helmet camara? Or handy? Cool!
Special "highway" for riders?

Hand job, and that is the famous "59th" Street bridge from Simon and Garfunkels song, that is the rider and pedestrian access!
Jeremy, "it's a dirty old town!" The Pogues
See that is what I said somewhere else:
Maedi will have to sharpen his scissors and start cutting up the threads and lots of the "off-cuts" will go into the "off-topic" area...
This was about what to wear to a wedding - and now we are onto konini wheat and wholemael breads and .... which should be in the bread section
So for once we have managed to put an off-topic thread into a bread-baking thread
Now now now ... this is Open Talk remember ... you go take your dirty bread talk where it belongs!
Hey Jeremy, dedicated bikers shave their legs mate.
I like to have proection from the frost!
