Bread pod

MkII

I'm in the middle of my first loaf for and have just left the dough to rise. I've put it in a 'bread pod' - the mixing bowl used for the dough with an identical one on top as a lid, with olive oil round the rim to seal/stop it falling off. This allows plenty to room for rising and you won't get cling film stuck to the dough.

Does anyone else use anything like this?

Hello MKII

If your dough ever rose to reach that level it would be truly remarkable to see.

Have you ever had it rise to the top of the lower bowl?  It's a bit hard to see in the pic but the amount of dough that seems to be there would be significantly more than doubled by the time it reached the top.

On the Gladwrap side of things, you can give it a light smearing of oil and it shouldn't stick.

However, if you are happy with your UFO then whatever works for you is OK.

Keep on bakin,

I love the bread pod.  It's sleek.  Nope, it'd be something else if the dough rose so much, but it's tidy and interesting to look at!
