ORGANIC SOAKED SOURDOUGH PIZZA CRUST RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
1 cup sourdough starter 1 cup filtered water 1 tbsp olive oil 3 cups spelt flour ½ tsp unrefined sea salt
INSTRUCTIONS
In a medium bowl add 1 cup sourdough starter (it does not need to be active), 1 cup water, 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tsp unrefined sea salt. Mix well. Now add 3 cups of organic spelt flour and stir until dough forms. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead dough for 10 minutes. You might need to add some more flour as you go if it is to sticky. Place into a bowl and cover bowl with plastic wrap and let sit in a warm place for 8 hours.
Preheat oven to 400º F. Press the dough out with your fingers onto a pizza pan or stone. This make 1 very large pizza or 2 medium size ones. Prick lightly with a fork. Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove pizza crust from oven and add your sauce and toppings. Place back into oven and bake for an additional 12-15 minutes.
Serves: 1 large extra large pizza or 2 medium pizzas
