Just when my sourdough starter and baking are coming along nicely, OH has declared he'd like to go back on the CSIRO diet. This means only 2 serves of carbohydrates a day. SO if we have rice, or lentils or pasta or potatoes for dinner, there is only one opportunity for a 30gram slice of bread. And here's me with a freezer full of carbs!

Stop cutting down on food, start excersizing, aerobic excersize which means max 70% of maximum heart rate. About 120-130 heart beats for me, for at least half and hour, maximum one hour per day. That is just walking, no jogging or anything, just walking...
Don't cut down on food, just eat healthy, which means don't eat fast food and big amounts of fats and sweets.
In one month you will become healthier, as I did. I was quite chuby and now I feel very healthy...
I have a BMI of 20.5; I was blessed with a BMR that fairly hums along and need not worry overly about my eating habits. We live in a small country town and eat NO take-away food at all. Never eat sweets and watch our fat intake most carefully.
My husband gets up at 5.30am, catches the train 1 hour to work, walks from the station to his workplace. He gets a half hour walk in some lunchtimes. He gets home at 6.00pm and then we go around to the house we're building after a home-cooked dinner and work there until about 9pm.
We're doing our best , but until we finish buidling this house, that's about as much as he can fit in. Meantime it's lots of fruit, vegetables and moderate amounts of low-fat protein.
Cheers
Fay
