Sourdough waffles

RECIPE for Sourdough Waffles by Heritage Homestead

 

A great way to use left over starter from breadmaking

 

INGREDIENTS

2 eggs

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/4 cup coconut oil or butter

2 tablespoons honey (melted if solid), or other sweetener

2 cups sourdough starter that has been fed within the last 12 hours

 

METHOD

Combine well and then add 1 teaspoon baking soda just prior to pouring on to the pre-heated waffle iron.

NOTE: a thicker starter can be used for this recipe
