Hi everyone. I'm new here and just wanted to say hi. My name is Kitty. I started my starter seven years ago but have really only been baking bread in earnest for the past couple of years. Prior to that I mostly used it for pancakes and waffles on the weekends. Recently, I've had been yearning to branch out beyond my standard sourdough loaf and see how many different textures and flavors I can create. I've been experimenting with cinnamon rolls, beignets, crackers and, most recently (as in this morning), tortillas. It amazes me how versatile this starter can be. It's definitely not just for making tangy, chewy bread. I'm so glad to have found this site and look forward to browsing all your wonderful recipes and learning from my fellow sourdough enthusiasts!
