Lower back pain
Lower back pain can be a common symptom of SI joint pain. Many people experience discomfort in their lower back, which can range from mild to severe. When the SI joint becomes inflamed or irritated, it can cause referred pain in the lower back area. This is because the SI joint connects the sacrum (the triangular bone at the base of the spine) to the ilium (the large pelvic bone).
