Just incase any other beginners are struggling with slashing their loaves please be assured that a sharp blade really makes a massive difference to slashing your loaf than using your sharpest kitchen knife. I made this lame at the weekend by superglueing a old fashioned razor balde between two of my childrens lolly sticks.
To show the difference here are two of my loaves. Both were made exactly the same one slashed with a knife.
The other with my snazzy new cheap as chips lame.
The difference was amazing! If I managed it so will you.
