After I made a little success on my first starter, I have tried to make the second one.
This time, things didn't go well. My 2 days old culture went so watery . It looked like very thin pancake dough with a water layer on top.
I couldn't see a little big air bubbles inside but only very tiny bubbles on the surface. It smelled quite strong.
Does this mean that the culture is over fermented and the yeasts have started dying out ? The season here has turned to very hot summer so room temperature has gone up around 28 C ~ 29C .
Should I shorten the feeding time ( I did it once a day. ) or reduce the amount of water ?
Your advice would be very appreiciated.
