I have also posted this at danlepard.com, but would be interested in the perspective from here:
Our oven died on Saturday, in the middle of baking a fruit loaf (it apparently shuts off if it gets too hot!!!), and cannot be fixed until mid next week. This has forced a frozen dough experiment that I will report on when the oven starts working again.
I the meantime, any suggestions about how I can get my baking fix without an oven would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking I might try griddled muffins and pancakes (we still have a working cooktop), but any other suggestions are most welcome.
Many thanks
Andrew

Andrew,
Might be time to introduce a friend with a nice oven to sourdough baking!
