Unripe leaven

The steaming kettle was placed in an Esky to warm my 55% leaven. However the leaven never ripened, most likely insufficient quantity of ripe starter in the mix. Also possibly had not placed Esky lid on tightly... The loaf was disappointing. The silver lining was two days later an impressive looking loaf was baked. Embrace the failure to feel better the next time
