I am trying to make a starter and am going into day 5. Day 3 it smelled weird, day 4 my entire kitchen smelled like vomit and going into day 5 it really stinks like vomit. My husband said he won't eat anything made with it because he's convinced it will kill him. Should I toss this and start over? I'm not sure where I went wrong. I started with 4oz of four and 4 oz of filtered water, let sit for 24 hours added the same and let sit (for days 2-4).
Thoughts? Is it bad? I don't want to make anyone sick, lol!
