A Fine Baker

I have posted on Alex Croquet before on Dan Lepard's site, but had a chance to buy and taste his stuff on a recent trip to France.

I loved his bread and have posted some photos and comments on this link and thought it might be of interest.

Best wishes

Pete

Thanks for sharing the pix and your experience, Pete. Major envy here because I can't see many opportunities for me to taste breads of such calibre.

TP, before I go next time I will let you know and I will send you some - they keep four or five days, at least. How long does post take from here to your part of the world?

I suspect that your own bread is of very high calibre.

Thank you, Pete, you're too kind. It usually takes 5 days (plus or minus 2 days). A sample piece or two would be terrific (crazy, but terrific), no need for the whole loaf...that will be absolutely too expensive to consider. Don't.

Thanks for the nice comment on my bread, you 2! Off to take pix of the focaccia I baked late last night.
