Hi guys. I just wanted to say hello first off.
I've had a starter going for six days. Not a great deal happening yet, although I'm starting to get a few little bubbles and it sometimes smells fruity and sometimes a little like acetone. It is organic strong flour with maybe 20% organic rye and then the water. Nothing at all seemed to happen for the first couple of days but it was very watery. I've thickened it up a bit now.
It lives in a baby bottle on a shelf above the boiler in the kitchen.
