Quiet all of you or Croc will start ranting and well I think I was going to make a nasty remark!

Shaved represents using a mandoline to [size=18]"shave"[/size] so they are fine slivers!

Jeremy,

you skipped a few of Amy's instructions for this.

I confess that the biggest problem that I had when I tried it a few times is that the blanched fennel is very moist (even if squeezed dry and drained on paper towels). Then when you (I) fold it in, the dough falls apart. (even worse if the raisins are soaked as I think Amy suggests)

It is a nice recipe though

Ahhh - shaved as in "sliced finely".
