In anticipation of the leaving of a member of the team, I am looking for a baker for a permanent position. The post is from September 2010.
Company Name: Daylesford Organic.
Location: Daylesford, England, Gloucestershire, 40 minutes from Oxford and less than 2 hours from London (by train).
Position to be filled in early September.
2 days off per week.
Shared accommodation available (the rent includes all charges and taxes) in a small town 10-15 minutes from the company.
Vehicle required, even a bicycle (it's just easier not to be dependant of someone else).
Hours may vary from 12:00 to 20:00 or 18:00 to 2:00 (approximate time subject to change depending on production needs). 40 hours weekly.
Salary: £ 16,000 per year, gross.
Skills: Hand shaping, mixing, baking, Viennese pastries (croissants, chocolate croissants, etc.), adaptability. Knowledge of the pastry job would be an important asset.
Experience required : 1-2 years.
Qualification in bakery (and pastry if possible) or significant experience required.
Qualities required: cheerfulness, reliability, dedication and search for a job well accomplished (our bakery is famous for producing some of the best breads in the country: Soil Association Food Award 2009, two Great Taste Awards 2010). Compliance with hygiene is essential.
Company characteristics: Organic production company organised around a farm. We manufacture a wide variety of organic products regularly awarded for their quality (milk, cheeses, eggs, meat, ready meals, pastries, breads, etc.). Specificity of the bakery: 100% organic production without use of additives, fully manual shaping, work on natural leaven (sourdough, without addition of yeast) for a large part of the production.
