Willing and ready-jobseeker with no EXP.

Currently looking to broaden my horizons and a career change. Leaving my job in Ireland in october and heading to OZ. Im passionate about food and in particular bread, baking and desserts. My goals would be to start off in anywhere that would be willing to give me a chance and take it from there. Im looking to learn the trade with the hopes of running a bakery in the future. I will be entering the country on a one year working holiday visa with the intention of obtaining a second year visa.

Im hard working and motivated. Im only 22 but im leaving quite a well paid job in airport operations to pursue this goal and see the world. My lack of official expeirence in the food/baking industry is obviously a draw back but I think that I would make up for it in eagerness to learn and ability to pick things up fast with exceptional attention to detail. Im considerably creative and have what I have been told to be an outgoing and considerate personality.

I am open to whatever is offered to me and would take on any job with great enthusiasum.

Im a free spirit with a lot of energy to put into something that I am passionate about.

Could anyone advise me on how to go about this!?

Thanks!!!

You obivously have the main attribute required to enjoy a career in baking.Passion.  I am a 44 yo who is completing a bakers apprenticeship in the Northern Territory. It was a long time dream and goal of mine and it was only through opportunity that i was able to realise this dream. There is a genuine shortage of Bakers and from my experience if you activley canvass the industry here and are not fussy where you go you to work you will nearly find a guarnteed job. It is a great place to live and work and the trade school teachers here in Darwin are world class. Its a exciting rewarding job and I urge anyone young or old to have a serious look at the employment opportunities. Try contacting Charles Darwin University in Palmerston. Commercial Bakery Division. Good Luck.
