Thank You All

Croc

i joined this forums not so long ago but the amount of informations i soaked in is huge.
i been baking for many years but my bread was never what i was after.
now i got my starter and bake really nice sourdough bread and my yeasted bread is so much better as well thanks to what discovered around here.

sure, there are other forums bigger and what's not but non of them make me feel home like this one and i never stoped for more than quick look but this place feels right.

once again thanks everyone

Well Croc, as was pointed out to me when I was living in the Philippines, and was a member of a social group of about 11 different nationalities, "Friendship knows no nationalities" and the same holds true here.

Now all we have to do is prove to TP that your proofing won't be so critical if you get a new owen. If she has the proof I'm sure we will be able to stop having to keep proving it to her.

OH!!! Go bake some bread, y'all!

p/s I'm refreshing my starter to make Dan's sweet butter dough, to subsequently make his apple custard something tomorrow. Did I mention my hubby also almost threw out my precious fruity-smell rye starter (started by Dan). I rescued it in the nick of time.

Thanks for the tip, Bill! I need lots of help in this sort of 'creative' thinking. Planting more jars of starters (last count 5) for easy mis-access....

I shall ignore the Owen Conspiracy....for the sake of my sanity.

I was thinking of changing the look of this forum to a more "bright" appearance, but I don't want to tamper with what we've got going here.

The photography forum I go to has a yellow/brown bg. Just last night, my eldest commented that it should be the other way around. This being a bread forum...should be warmer. I dunno. Take a poll? But no worries, Maedi, I think we're quite happy with what we have here. It's the people, not the design. But, having said that, we are very appreciative of your watch over our techie problems and the work you have put in to make the place look nice.

Thanks for the links Bianchifan. I'll keep them in mind when/if I do a forum re-design. I like how this forum looks a little dark at the moment. Maybe we'll try a lighter look soon.

OT....questions for bianchifan.

1. Any meaning to the nick?

2. Could you slow down your avatar's change so that I can see properly what that gadget is?

Curious minds need to know.

TeckPoe,
1. Yes, indirect, I will ride some bicyles from italian "Bianchi" reparato corso, but I was a fan of a past professional Bicyle group (Rennstall) with leader "Jan Ullrich".
2. It's a gif, it lays on Geocities, you can right click and download to see it better
