Hearty Starter

I had a starter I had babied and used for about a year. Life happened and I starved it in the back of the fridge for about 6 months. Took it out, fed it, and now its rise time rivals commercial yeast! tastes much better though! I am having so much fun with it!

It didn't work for me - I forgot mine for  a couple of weeks and attempts to revive it weren't promising - not much life in it and an unpleasant smell (a bit like turpentine!). I gave up after a week and have started a new starter! instead

 I will be making some tomorrow. will try a photo,
